Resilient Soul
Resilient Soul is a self portrait, but not in the traditional sense.
Rather than capturing what I look like, it captures who I was becoming.
This painting was created during a season of creative transformation, when I consciously stepped away from perfection and allowed myself to paint with greater freedom, intuition and emotion. It became less about creating a flawless image and more about expressing strength, resilience and the quiet confidence that comes from embracing who you truly are.
The cowgirl became a symbol of that journey.
She represents the woman who has weathered life's storms without allowing them to define her. The woman who continues to show up with grace, even when life has been messy. Strong but feminine. Soft but courageous. Grounded yet endlessly free.
The warm sunset palette reflects hope after hardship. The loose, expressive brushwork embraces imperfection, while hidden words, symbols and layered textures invite you to slow down and discover something new each time you stand before it.
To me, this painting is about the moment you stop performing for everyone else and begin becoming the person you were always meant to be.
It is a reminder that resilience isn't about never breaking. It's about choosing to rise, again and again, carrying every lesson with you.
