An Australian artist, illustrator and creator of beautiful things, inspired by nature, meaningful stories and a lifelong love of making.
My creative world is wonderfully varied. From large contemporary canvases and intricate watercolours to surface pattern design, bespoke illustrations, packaging and commercial creative projects, I love bringing ideas to life in ways that feel thoughtful, imaginative and a little unexpected.
Creating Meaning Through Art
I've always believed that beautiful design should be more than just something lovely to look at. It should tell a story, spark curiosity, make someone smile or create a connection.
Whether I'm painting an original artwork, collaborating with a brand or dreaming up a new collection of my own, I want to create beautiful things that people genuinely connect with.
A little more about me...
When I was sixteen, I asked my parents for one thing: to register my business name so I could start selling my paintings. Back then, my world was all about large abstract canvases, experimenting with colour, texture and anything else I could get my hands on.
It wasn't until I was pregnant with my eldest daughter that I first picked up a watercolour brush. What began as a completely new creative adventure quickly became another love of mine, and more than nine years later, I still find myself fascinated by the intricate details and possibilities of the medium.
These days, my creative life unfolds between my home studio on the Sunshine Coast and what I affectionately consider my floating studio: the back deck of our family boat. Two of my largest collections, one created for Princess Yachts Australia and the other for the Sanctuary Cove Wildlife Collection, were brought to life aboard our boat while exploring Australia's beautiful coastline with my family. There's something rather special about being able to combine my love of art, travel and family life, often with a paintbrush in hand and the girls coming and going around me.
My husband Matt and I also run a civil construction company, and together we're raising and homeschooling our three daughters. It's a wonderfully busy, sometimes chaotic life, with creativity woven through just about every part of it.
The girls have grown up surrounded by my art, often learning alongside me while I paint, asking questions, sharing ideas and reminding me to look at the world with fresh eyes. They've taught me that some of the most beautiful things in life are found when we slow down long enough to notice them.
I still love the freedom of a large contemporary canvas, often layering hidden words and subtle symbolism into my paintings, just as much as the patience and precision of a detailed watercolour. I also love working with brands, dreaming up illustrations, patterns and products that turn something ordinary into something special. More recently, that same curiosity has led me to create my own collections of greeting cards, fine art prints and an Australian wildlife card game, bringing together my love of art, storytelling, nature and a little bit of humour.
I don't think I'll ever be an artist who creates just one kind of thing. And I rather like it that way.
