Original Watercolour Illustration for Brand + Packaging
I collaborated with Sunshine & Sons to create a collection of original hand-painted watercolour elements for one of their gin labels.
Working from the visual direction they had in mind, I painted the individual illustrations by hand before supplying the finished artwork for their graphic designer to develop into the final pattern and label design.
The artwork went on to become much more than a bottle label, appearing across merchandise, events and other creative applications connected to the brand.

BEYOND THE BOTTLE
What began as a collection of original watercolour illustrations for a gin label went on to have a much broader life. The artwork has since appeared across Sunshine & Sons merchandise and event pieces, including Mardi Gras costumes, bean bags, towels and bags, as well as being used by local Sunshine Coast fashion label Waker across clothing.
That part is worth including because it demonstrates how well the artwork translated across very different applications.
